Located among vast peaceful and beautiful wheat fields, Orchard Prairie Union Cemetery is one of many historical pioneer cemeteries in Hillyard, WA.
In 1881 pioneer Oren O. Palmer {1844-1905} purchased a parcel of land from the Great Northern Railroad.
When one of his 8 children, Eber L. Palmer [1869-1884} died at the age of 14 in 1884, he donated land for a community cemetery establishing the Orchard Prairie Union Cemetery.
Oren Palmer came from a large family, which was common in the earlier days. Out of 7 siblings, only his younger sister Felecia Ann Palmer Uhlig[1848-1929} is buried at the Orchard Prairie Cemetery along with his father Ephraim Palmer[1809-1898}, his wife Harriet C Houk Palmer[1847-1924} and 7 of his 8 children.
Psychic Medium Jane Stewart from Ghost411.net podcast and I paid a short visit to this cemetery. She immediately picked up a male and a female spirit. They were both in the old section of the cemetery. The male spirit was by the Palmer graves. Jane felt that he was part of the Palmer family ,but not buried there. Jane was drawn to 2 graves that the female spirit was by.
I was able to record both male and female responses on my voice recorder. Based on what I could make out was that the female spirit was not associated with either grave Jane was drawn to and the male spirit may have been a Palmer, but his family was not there . Some spirits stay behind sometimes for various reasons and you can periodically see them visiting graves of their old friends or other family members they are related to.
I returned to the cemetery couple times and continued to get male voices, one was possibly one of Oren Palmer's children.
