Astoria Underground Tour

Astoria Underground Tour has been operating for 5 to 6 years in downtown Astoria, OR

The tour starts in an old garage, that is filled with cool items, signs and pictures, that tell you about the history of Astoria from 1800's on. After that you will go to the underground tunnels for more information.

Chad, my tour guide, is one of 3 people operating the Astoria Underground Tour.

He did a wonderful job telling me about the history of Astoria; it's fires and the famous clowns that built the bridge and many other great stories.

Astoria Underground Tour is not a ghost tour, but there were several ghosts with us that night.

I did an evp session in several places and got responses on the voice recorder. I also saw some shadow play in some areas of the tunnels.

According to Chad, an African American man named Jack the Cat is believed to be in the tunnels.

We did another evp session by the clown car asking if there was anyone there associated with the car. There was an immediate response what sounded like the name Jack.

Jack Daly was one of the original clowns and also a father of one of Chad's partners, Jeff Daly.

I had psychic medium Jennifer Von Behren look over the pictures and she confirmed that Jack the Cat was there and had been roaming around there for some time.

According to Jennifer we actually had 3 male ghosts with us by the clown car. One was Jack Daly and the 2nd guy was the man to his right in the picture I circled. The 3rd man was a midget, who is not in the picture with the other 2 guys.

The 3 men seemed happy and come down there often to have fun.

Jack the Cat was liked by many. He liked wine, cigars and music. He said that music was his drive. He has a great sense of humor and he was organized .

Jennifer could hear music and dancing in the area of the tunnel where Jack used to stay.

Sharing the space with the Astoria Underground Tour is an Air B&B operated by Jeff Daly. All the items in it are from Astoria.

Check out Astoria Wunderground Experience for more info on the Air B&B.

Both places have lot of cool history and things to see. Definitely well worth seeing.
