I did a private Astoria underground ghost tour in Astoria, OR this spring.
The tour starts at Gulley's Butcher Shop, where I met my guide Kelly. She is an awesome and knowledgeable guide, who does research to bring the most accurate information on the history of Astoria and the ghosts still occupying the underground areas.
You will hear stories about several ghosts, that are still down below the Butcher Shop.
I was able to get voice responses in most of the areas in question and in one, the ghost communicated using the Rem Pod device.
Kelly has a K2 EMF meter, that the ghosts seem to respond to well, as it spiked in most of the " haunted" areas. One must keep in mind however, that all equipment can give false positives due to various reasons.
As you walk thru' the underground areas, you can feel a change in energy in some rooms more than others.
Psychic Medium Jennifer Von Behren can see several ghosts still remaining there, when reading the energy from the pictures.
As you come into the first rooms, Jennifer's arm started to hurt and she felt like it was difficult to breath. Many people feel off in this area.
Jennifer picked up a female spirit in the area , where a woman had lived. According to Jennifer, the woman felt like she was "two fold". Like she had her day job and at night she would dress up fancy.
Continuing on Jennifer could smell smoke.
In the area , where Kelly talks about their resident ghost, Jennifer picked up a male ghost. They call him Henry. Jennifer felt like he was killed for money before his day. Henry feels like a nice and super friendly guy, who was a hard worker and not afraid to roll up his sleeves. He confirmed his presence on the voice recorder and set off the Rem Pod device, as well as Kelly's K2 meter.
In the area, where Kelly believes there is a child spirit, Jennifer felt lot of residual energy. Residual energy is a "stamp' in the time line and not an intelligent haunting.
Jennifer could see 2 ghosts in this area, a child and the child's mom standing towards the back of the room. They were not talking.
Boiler rooms seem to be active everywhere we go and the one here was no different. I got an immediate and loud response there on the voice recorder and psychic medium Jennifer Von Behren could see a fairly "gruff" and dirty looking male ghost wearing overalls. He has a loud and dominant voice according to Jennifer. He was a family guy, who worked his job a long time.
